Thorn Camp coming to Anoka!

Thorn Wrestling Camps is coming to the home of the Brawlers, and is open to all High School age wrestlers grades 7-12. Featuring camp leader David Thorn along with FCA leaders Olympic Champion John Peterson and NCAA Champion Carl Perry. Carl and John  will be presenting FCA character development meetings in between wrestling sessions. Wrestlers wishing to spend the night in the area will be housed with Anoka families. This is a great kickoff right before the season starts. Click the link to view the event page with more information and registration details. Cost of the camp is $100 for just wrestling, or $120 that includes a camp T-Shirt and 3 meals.

Summer Wrestling Accomplishments

Congratulations to the many Anoka Wrestlers who competed during the Freestyle/Greco Roman season and represented Minnesota in National and International Competitions.

Schoolboy Duals Team – Riley Emery, Tylor Schroedl, Louden Johnson

Cadet Duals Team – Colby Njos, Tyler Eischens

Junior Duals Team – Calvin Germinaro-Nahring

Calvin also placed 2nd at the World Team Trials and won the Greco Roman style at the Pan-Am Games.

At Fargo Nationals, Colby placed 5th in Greco and Calvin placed 8th.  Tyler placed 2nd in Greco and 7th in Freestyle.

The 3rd ranked Anoka Brawlers took on Coon Rapids Friday night at Coon Rapids High School and won back the Golden Shoes in a convincing 59-6 victory. 3 Brawlers also celebrated career milestones after the dual. Jesse Heifort (12) and Cole Eischens (11) each celebrated 75 Varsity Wins, and Colby Njos (9) celebrated 50 Wins. Congratulations to those wrestlers on their milestones, and the Brawlers on their victory!
